Wakeema Walden, Coordinator
Wakeema has always been a storyteller at heart. Before she began acting, she enjoyed a career as a model. One of her favorite modeling experiences was appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show. Other favorites were working with Beyonce and meeting the King and Queen of England. (Although they were still Prince Charles and Camilla at the time.)
Wakeema currently explores her passion for storytelling through her work as a film and television actress. She's appeared on shows such as: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon), Dynasty (CW), And Just Like That (HBO), Orange is the New Black (Netflix), and Only Murders in the Building (Hulu).
Kayla Fair, Chief Operating Officer
Kayla Fair holds a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and English. As a ghostwriter, she has lent her talent to nonfiction and memoirs, thriving on every opportunity to capture others' experiences and ideas. With a love for editing, Kayla has polished an array of works, including fiction, memoirs, and children's books. Fueling her passion is a lifelong devotion to storytelling, ignited at an early age through meeting (reading) an abundance of unforgettable characters. Inspired by this love, Kayla aspires to craft her own fiction, weaving captivating narratives from the whimsies of her mind.
Emily Kingland, Writer
Emily has always had a passion for reading and writing, driven by a deep curiosity for almost any subject. This curiosity has helped her create non-fiction content for the healthcare, SaaS, retail, entertainment, fine arts, and manufacturing industries. Emily has worked with brands including Autodesk, PandaDoc, Citrix, and Duluth Trading Co. Her bachelor’s degree in public relations has allowed her to grasp the business side of creative pursuits.
When she’s not writing for her clients, Emily enjoys songwriting, playing music with her husband, and rewatching The Office for the thousandth time.
Chrishell Stubbs, Executive Assistant
With over a decade of experience in administrative roles, Chrishell brings a passion for organization and a keen eye for detail to her role as Executive Assistant at StoriePress. Her background in property management, large event planning, and logistics has equipped her with the skills to manage complex schedules, coordinate seamlessly across teams, and support senior leadership with excellence. Known for her professionalism and approachable nature, Chrishell is dedicated to contributing to the success of StoriePress and ensuring the team’s creative vision is fully supported.
Kaylen Leverenz, Writer
Kaylen leads with curiosity and creativity in everything she does. An early interest in oil painting (she began at age 7!) and reading the thickest books she could find soon gave way to a passion for writing. Fascinated by the impact and power of words, she got her degree in Communication Arts and sharpened her skills at UW’s Souvenirs' magazine, The Badger Herald, Thought Catalog, and Duluth Trading Co. Having learned the importance of balancing a keen eye for detail with stepping back and seeing the bigger picture, she tackles every project with equal parts open-minded positivity and shrewd analysis. Her bottomless list of hobbies and interests is only outdone by the amount of questions she has in any scenario.
Conner Thomas, Writer
Conner's zeal for writing first displayed itself in his obsession with books. Growing up, he constantly had his nose in the pages. As he got older, this passion for reading developed into a relentless pursuit of knowledge. This fascination with learning now drives just about everything he does, from reading theological studies, to curiously questioning the people he meets, to listening to podcasts about black holes and octopi. His love for learning has pushed him into some interesting lines of work (including selling solar door-to-door in the dead of Colorado winter). His drive and conviction are shown through his dedication to fitness and his faith. Those who meet him learn of his inquisitive nature firsthand.
